Italy, a country of southern Europe is a long peninsula shaped like a boot, surrounded on the west by the Tyrrhenian Sea and on the east by the Adriatic. It has three side coastal area and one side land which is share with countries like France, Switzerland, Austria and Slovenia. Italy was a home of many European culture, such as the Etruscans and the Romans. In later it was also the birthplace of many universities and of the movement of Renaissance, that began in Tuscany and spread in all over the Europe. Its capital Rome was the center of western civilization for many centuries. Due to gorgeous geographical location and many ancient civilization, Italy is as known as historical Italy.

Italy is world famous for its art, culture, architecture, music and literature. There are wonderful famous places like Rome, picturesque Venice, cultural Florence, and the wonderful coastlines of Amalfi and Italy’s distinctive islands. The most wonderful region of Italy is Tuscany because for its landscape and artistic legacy. Its most popular tourist attraction is the Sistine Chapel, with a vast ceiling that was painted by Michelangelo in 1508.

The Tower of Pisa: - is also know as leaning tower of Pisa and bell tower of Pisa. It is situated behind the Cathedral church and Pisa's Piazza del Duomo. It is one of the wonder out of seven wonders of the world. It is popular for its construction because building is leaning towards a ground.

The Coliseum: - of Rome is another interesting historical construction of Italy. It is one of the greatest works of Roman architecture and Roman engineering. In ancient time it is stadium playing games, include fighters of ancient ring which typically trained gladiators or convicted prisoners of war. It has been estimated that about 500,000 people and over a million wild animals died in the Colosseum games.

The Pompeii: - is also know as The Ruins of Pompeii. It is partially buried Roman town-city near modern Naples and Caserta. Pompeii was destroyed, and completely buried, during a long catastrophic eruption of the volcano Mount Vesuvius. It was rediscover in 1748 and since than, its excavation has provided an extraordinarily detailed insight into the life of a city at time of the Roman Empire. These ruins covers large area so one can not visit it in a single day.
